Woof & Poof and the Environment

Woof & Poof is always conscious of being a good steward of our limited resources and of our environment. In that effort, we have been working with a local walnut processor, ECO-SHELL, to provide a more environmentally friendly filler for many Woof & Poof products. Woof & Poof is proud to use biodegradable walnut shells in our stuffing process.

The Crain family has been growing and processing quality English walnuts in the Sacramento Valley since 1960. Over the past forty years, the business has grown to be one of the largest walnut producing operations in the world. With this growth came the need to develop a by-products division. In 1995, ECO-SHELL, Inc. was created to provide a full spectrum of walnut shell products.

Since ECO-SHELL was formed, they continue to upgrade their facility with the finest state of the art milling and processing equipment. ECO-SHELL is one of the premier suppliers of walnut shell media to industrial markets around the world. Their facility provides controlled environment storage for all of our raw shell. In addition, processing and milling operation warehouses are maintained to the highest sanitation standards. ECO-SHELL provides complete documentation on all process controls and Quality Control analysis data of every lot or shipment.

The ECO-SHELL crushed walnut shells used by Woof & Poof are non-toxic, dust-free, environmentally safe and cost effective. We wanted you to know of this great partnership between Woof & Poof and ECO-SHELL.
